ORBIS Corporation’s Toronto Plant Honored with “Plant of the Year” Award
Highly efficient plant wins for a second time
Oconomowoc, Wis. – April 12, 2016 ORBIS Corporation
, an international manufacturer of sustainable reusable packaging and supply chain expert, has named its Rexdale, Toronto manufacturing plant with the “ Plant of the Year” award for 2015. The annual, coveted homegrown program is designed to celebrate one ORBIS manufacturing plant’s achievements related to exceeding company goals and milestones.
Of the eleven plastic manufacturing facilities in the running, ORBIS’ Toronto plant took home the award for outstanding results in the areas of employee relations, manufacturing efficiency, cost management, profitability and labor optimization. This plant employs nearly 140 people and manufactures totes, bins and trays for a variety of industries, include food, beverage, consumer packaged goods and environmental.

” said Steve Smith, ORBIS Plant Manager. “In 2015 we achieved our best ever performance and are extremely proud to receive this award a second time, since 2012.”
